Bengaluru: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Monday announced that it will fully pass on the benefits of the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate reduction on passenger vehicles to customers. The revised prices will take effect from September 22, 2025, coinciding with the rollout of the new tax regime.

Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President – Sales, Service, Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement at TKM, said the move reflects Toyota’s “customer-first” philosophy and comes at a crucial time ahead of the festive season. “We sincerely thank the Government of India for this historic reform. It has enhanced affordability, strengthened consumer confidence, and will accelerate demand in the automotive sector,” Wadhwa noted.

The company expects the tax cut to give a strong push to festive bookings and retail deliveries, especially in high-demand models such as the Fortuner, Innova Crysta, and Hilux.

Here’s how much Toyota models will get cheaper (ex-showroom, indicative reductions):

  • Glanza: up to ₹85,300
    Taisor: up to ₹1,11,100
    Rumion: up to ₹48,700
    Hyryder: up to ₹65,400
    Innova Crysta: up to ₹1,80,600
    Innova Hycross: up to ₹1,15,800
    Fortuner: up to ₹3,49,000
    Legender: up to ₹3,34,000
    Hilux: up to ₹2,52,700
    Camry: up to ₹1,01,800
    Vellfire: up to ₹2,78,000

The sharpest price reduction comes on the Fortuner SUV, with a cut of up to ₹3.49 lakh, followed by the Hilux and Vellfire, making Toyota’s premium and mass-market portfolio more competitive.

Industry experts said the GST relief is likely to aid overall market sentiment, spurring sales volumes and benefiting automakers’ bottom lines in the coming quarters. For Toyota, this could mean stronger traction in both its utility vehicle and hybrid segments.
